Nampu-Fountain Ministry is a pregnancy resource and counseling center that opened in June 2013 in Khonkaen, Northeast Thailand. It is under OMF International.

Pregnant women and girls in difficult circumstances receive counseling, advice, prayer, and as needed, practical help.

The counselors use Christian ethics as the basis of their personal lives and minister according to Jesus’ command: “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength and with all your mind; and love your neighbour as yourself”. (Luke10:27)

We believe that every life is precious, and together with the women and their partners strive to find ways that their babies may live.

Trusting in the life changing power of our creator God, we believe that every woman, man and child can receive a fulfilled life that is promised to those who trust in Him.

Nampu

The name Nampu means fountain and leans on the message in the Bible where Jesus says: “Whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” (John 4:14)

Every year millions of women find themselves facing an unplanned pregnancy. Ashamed and afraid of the reaction of family and friends, about half the women choose to terminate their pregnancy. Most of these women are still in High School or University.

Many of them are from broken homes and have never had good role models. They might not have experienced loving care from their parents. Some might even have been abused by parents or relatives. They could not develop a sense of belonging and security. Low self-esteem creates a desire for being accepted among peers.

However, this is also a problem for girls and women from good family and economic backgrounds. There is the fear of damaging the reputation of the family name or the position in society with an unplanned pregnancy

Another reason why women terminate their pregnancy is that they do not have the financial means to raise their child and no emotional and practical support from the people around them. Often, they do this against their will and conscience and suffer from the consequences all their lives.

That is where Nampu-Fountain Ministry comes alongside these women at a crucial time in their lives and gives them encouragement and support in decision making.
